This makes so spicy, that you might think your ass is on fire, but it's just a bee, honey..

Listened some more Miike Snow and didn't like it so text about that band will be short. But the song "Burial" is nice! Sometimes there are one song bands that have one amazing tune and then you are super enthousiast to find what else amazing songs they have and get disappointed (I always spell this word wrong (this time right, one s!) as also enthousiast).

I have had this with quite some bands, but sometimes I'm also just happy with one really nice song. But how I found Miike Snow was because of MC Gnucci Banana, real name Ana Rab, who has made a remix to Miike Snows "Animal". Gnucci Banana is also Swedish and really extremely energetic MC on stage. I saw her last weekend in the Sencity, more about that later in another post, together with Daniel Haaksman. I think if Lady Gaga would be an mc she would be Gnucci Banana!

Gnucci Banana: "Animal"

You will neither love or hate her. She's insane. Don't know how I would react if I should listen one hour of her album in a room, but watching and dancing to her music live with MC, endlessly! Some artists you have to just see live and they work the best live! She had exceptional energy that filled the whole Maassilo!

To this next song I could just dance endlessly. It has something weird in it but something which is so catchy that it takes everybody with it! I think it's the "Oma la la oo la la, too ja ee ee" -part! if somebody can take any clue about the words.

One great one:
Coolie Fruit ft. Gnucci Banana by schlachthofbronx

Check also Schlachthofbronx - Ayoba ft. Spoek & Gnucci Banana

The lyrics are mostly quite insane, like in the beginning of GNUCCI BANANA & SPOEK MATHAMBO PERO SPICEY MIXTAPE

"makes (?) spicy things, that you think your ass is on fire, but it's just a bee honey, aijai jai"

That's a good sentence to end this post.

One song one video: The Irrepressibles: In this shirt, all versions (almost)

The Irrepressibles: "In this shirt"

And the same song but with video clips from their performances

And Röyksopp remix of the song

Then there are some other remixes from the song which are quite horrible, I prefer the original song.
The Irrepressibles will release their new album called "Nude", hopefully this year or in the beginning next year. Not sure at all. But hoping.

And for the last very weird but beautiful video for the same song.
The video is directed by Roy Raz

Boom!

I found this artist year ago, thought always before that it's just like all the others. But when I listened to the album I just totally felt the energy it gave. So energetic and uplifting music with attitude! This person has such an amazing presence that not so many big artists have. Some artists have this presence that it doesn't really matter if they would be just brushing their teeth on the stage in front of 20.000 people it would still be interesting (Wende Snijders has it also, some day more about her, she's great Dutch singer) Back to the post...She has had many hits and is also known from Destiny's child. I would really like to see her once live! Without any further remarks...

Beyoncé Knowles

The mother of the present R'n'B! She's the first R'n'B artist that I actually really like. The energy she brings to the people through her music. All the music videos from her have some insanely cool dance moves that would only fit for Beyoncé! I picked some of her best (in my opinion) videos here:

"Run The World (girls)"

"All the single ladies (Put a ring on it)"

"Diva" with the greatest sun glasses possibly you can have!

Another R'n'B - hip hop artist who's music I like, not so much the artist itself but the music, is
Kanye West. Even though I like the most Cloud, he's the best when it comes to hip hop! I found West's music with the album "My beautiful dark twisted fantasy" and the beautiful half an hour video called "Runaway". From the album these songs really catched my attention "Gorgeous", "Devil in a new dress", "Power", "Monster", "Runaway" with a very beautiful scene in the long music video with ballet dancers and the dinner table around 14.00 min, "Blame game" and "Lost in the world". Well that's actually more than half from the album. But still Beyoncé beats also West with her energy!

Lead Me

Follow up for one video, one song -list.
A promising Finnish singer Manna: "Lead Me".
You can check her webpage here: http://www.mannamariam.com/

This song caught my attention, she just released her debut album "Shackles". Rest of the songs I didn't listen yet, some didn't like so much, but this one is really beautiful, lyrics also!

"I see colours all around

Leading me where I am bound
Distant voices in my head keep on calling me again, away
Again, away, away

Lead me in to your darkness
And free me from my madness
I feel, hear you call and I know
In your arms I belong
In your web I am strong
With you I have no will
For you I'll burn, I'll kill

I see shadows all around
Leading me where I am bound
Distant noises in my head keep on calling me again
I am strong when the end is near
In your web I have no fear

I am safe when you are here

Lead me in to your darkness
And free me from my madness
I feel, hear you call and I know
In your arms I belong
In your web I am strong
With you I lose all will
For you I'll burn, I'll kill"

Sigur Rós - eerie

Sigur Rós is some of the most known bands from Iceland. Sigur Rós is a band of four members and the singer of the band is Jón Þór ”Jónsi” Birgisson who's creating also solo career under the name Jónsi. Sigur Rós creates its own eerie world.

eerie

(2. : so mysterious, strange, or unexpected as to send a chill up the spine <a coyote's eerie howl> <the similarities wereeerie>also : seemingly not of earthly origin <the flames cast an eerie glow> )

You can't listen Sigur Rós without falling to the song. Songs send these chills trough your spine. These songs force you to feel.

The band was founded 1994 and it got its name from Jónsi's little sister Sigurrós who was born on the day the band was founded. In 1997 band published its debut album "Von". The band came better known from its album Ágætis byrjun in 1999. Jónsi created also his own language Vonlenska that he uses in some of the songs, it sounds bit like Icelandic but is an imaginary language. These songs are sung in vonlenska: "Von", "Olsen olsen", the whole fourth album "    " which is without a name, "Hoppípolla" (partly), "Sé lest", "Mílano", "Gong" and "Andvari". The newest album is from 2008 "Með suð í eyrum við spilum endalaust".

Here you can find the official webpage of the band:
